CLEAN-UP EXERCISE HELD AT WASSA BAWDIE.

In fulfillment of the Municipal Assembly’s commitment to environmental sanitation and public health, a clean-up exercise was held at Wassa Bawdie on Friday, 8th May, 2026.

The objective of the exercise was to promote environmental cleanliness, improve public health, and encourage community involvement in sanitation management within the Municipality. The exercise covered the area from Dompim Junction, through the main streets of Wassa Bawdie, to the Bawdie Roundabout.Present at the exercise were: Hon. Nicholas Amankwah, Member of Parliament; Hon. Raymond Nana Ebaah, Municipal Chief Executive; Hon. Mathew Manu, Presiding Member; Mr. Awari Ibrahim, Municipal Coordinating Director; staff of the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly, especially the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit; Hon. Assembly Members; media personnel; constituency party executives and members; staff of Zoomlion Ghana Limited; officers of the Ghana National Fire Service; community members; and volunteers.

The exercise began with an opening address by the Municipal Chief Executive, who stressed the importance of shared responsibility in keeping the Municipality clean and healthy.To ensure the safety of all participants, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hand gloves, nose masks, reflective vests, and other safety gear were distributed before the exercise began.
